The problem
Email attachments fail or upload slowly when raw camera photos are too large.
Recommended workflow
- Set a max width such as 1600 pixels.
- Compress to JPG at a moderate quality level.
- Download smaller copies and attach those instead of originals.
Before you start
Check the destination requirement first: accepted format, maximum file size, preferred dimensions, and whether the page will crop the preview. This makes the Compress tool settings easier to choose.
After export
Open the downloaded file, compare it with the original, and test one sample in the real destination before processing the rest of the images. If the preview looks soft or cropped, adjust dimensions before trying another compression pass.
Useful next step
If the exported file still fails, try a second pass with a related tool: resize before compressing, crop before making a profile picture, or convert format before attaching the file to a system that rejects modern image types.
